My Z-Wave Stick Was Bricked During a Firmware Update

Updating your Z-Wave stick needs to be done only if necessary and exactly according to the instructions for the model and version you have. If your Z-Wave stick is working well, do not attempt a firmware update for it. This is a static controller with a crucial function to your network. Only perform the update when you're 100% confident you have the right environment including the correct firmware file. 

There are a few reasons why your stick might have bricked during or after a firmware update:

 

If your device is bricked as a result of a firmware update, it cannot be serviced under warranty. Always apply any firmware updates with caution and at your own risk.
