ZEN54 0-10 V Dimmer Advanced Settings

Here is a full list of advanced settings (parameters) for the ZEN54 0-10 V Dimmer.

Some parameters were added in later firmware updates so please make sure you're on the latest firmware to have all of the settings below available. You can view the change log for the ZEN54 here.

On / Off Status After Power Failure

Parameter 1: Set the on/off status and brightness for the dimmer after power failure.

Values: 0 – always off once restored; 1-99 – always on to set brightness once restored; 100 – remembers and restores status and brightness. Default: 100.

LED Indicator

Parameter 2: Enable or disable the LED indicator to reflect the current on/off status of the connected load (LED on when the load is on, LED off when the load is off).

Values: 0 – LED always off 1 – LED on when load on, LED off when load off. Default: 1.

Size: 1 byte dec

Dimming Speed

Parameter 3: Set the number of seconds it takes to get from 0% to 100% brightness when pressing and holding the paddle on the wall switch.

Values: 1 – 99 (seconds). Default: 5.

Size: 2 byte dec

Minimum Brightness

Parameter 4: Set the minimum brightness level (in %) for your dimmer. You won’t be able to dim the light below the set value.

Values: 1 – 45 (%). Default: 1.

Size: 1 byte dec

Maximum Brightness

Parameter 5: Set the maximum brightness level (in %) for your dimmer. You won’t be able to add brightness to the light beyond the set value.

Values: 55 – 99 (%). Default: 99.

Size: 1 byte dec

Kickstart Brightness Level

Parameter 6: Set the kickstart brightness level (%) for your dimmer. Use for fixtures that won't turn on when starting from a low brightness level.

Values: 0 – Disabled; 1 – 99 (%). Default: 0.

Inclusion From Switch

Parameter 7: Enable or disable ZEN54 inclusion/exclusion via 3 quick toggles (up-down sequences) of the connected wall switch.

Values: 0 – Disable inclusion from switch; 1 – Enable inclusion from switch. Default: 1.

Auto Turn-Off Timer

Parameter 8: Auto-off timer will automatically turn the dimmer off after x seconds or minutes (unit set in parameter 10) once it has been turned on.
Values: 0 – timer disabled; 1 – 4294967295. Default: 0.
Size: 4 byte dec

Auto Turn-On Timer

Parameter 9: Auto-on timer will automatically turn the dimmer on after x seconds or minutes (unit set in parameter 10) once it has been turned off.
Values: 0 – timer disabled; 1 – 4294967295. Default: 0.
Size: 4 byte dec

Timer Unit

Parameter 10: Choose between seconds and minutes as the unit for the timers in parameters 8 and 9.

Values: 1 – minutes; 2 – seconds. Default: 1.

Size: 1 byte dec

Load Control (Smart Bulb Mode)

Parameter 11: Enable or disable physical and Z-Wave on/off control. Disable both for smart bulbs.

Values: 0 – Disable control from switch and button; 1 – Enable switch, button, and Z-Wave control; 2 – Disable switch, button, and Z-Wave control. Default: 1.

Switch Type

Parameter 12: Choose the wall switch type you want to connect to the dimmer.

Values: 0 – toggle switch (state changes whenever the switch is toggled); 1 – momentary push button; 2 – toggle switch (light on when the switch is toggled up, light off when the switch is toggled down). Default: 2.

Status Report Type

Parameter 13: Choose physical (wall switch) and Z-Wave triggers for the dimmer to send a status change report to the hub. 

Values: 0 – Switch Multilevel reports for Z-Wave control and Basic Reports for wall switch control; 1 – Switch Multilevel reports for both Z-Wave and wall switch control. Default: 1.

Dimmer Off Behavior

Parameter 14: Choose whether the dimmer fully cuts power to 0-10V drivers when off to prevent light glow (applies to selected 0-10V fixtures).

Values: 0 – Keep the power on to the LED driver when the 0-10 V Dimmer is off; 1 – Cut the power off to the LED driver when the 0-10 V Dimmer is off. Default: 1.

Physical Ramp Rate ON

Parameter 15: Adjust the ramp rate ON for your dimmer when the button paddle on the wall switch is pressed for a smooth fade-in effect (in seconds).
Values: 0 – instant on; 1- 99 seconds. Default: 5.

Physical Ramp Rate OFF

Parameter 16: Adjust the ramp rate OFF for your dimmer when the button paddle on the wall switch is pressed for a smooth fade-out effect (in seconds).
Values: 0 – instant off; 1- 99 seconds. Default: 5.
Size: 1 byte dec

Z-Wave Ramp Rate ON

Parameter 17: Adjust the ramp rate ON for your dimmer when controlled with Z-Wave for a smooth fade-in effect (in seconds).
Values: 0 – instant on; 1- 99 seconds; 100 – match physical. Default: 100.
Size: 1 byte dec

Z-Wave Ramp Rate OFF

Parameter 18: Adjust the ramp rate OFF for your dimmer when controlled with Z-Wave for a smooth fade-out effect (in seconds).
Values: 0 – instant off; 1- 99 seconds; 100 – match physical. Default: 100.
Size: 1 byte dec

Custom Brightness On

Parameter 19: Set the custom brightness level you want the dimmer to come on to (instead of last brightness level).

Values: 0 - last brightness level; 1-99 (%). Default: 0.
