ZEN71 On/Off Switch Change Log
Here is a log of upgrades and improvements we made to the ZEN71 On/Off Switch 700 model so far.
VER. 1.0 (released 12/2020)
Original release.

- Remove manual operation delay with scene control disabled
- Fixed smart bulb behavior after a power outage: the actual status of the relay and the reported status of the relay are both restored correctly now
- Added the ability to disable programming function from the paddles (parameter 17, see all of the settings here)

- Fixed S2 inclusion issue related to data packet size for advanced setting labels which affected selected hubs and scenarios

- Fixed central scene bug for control of its own load in smart bulb mode
- Added parameter 7 to choose Direct Association reports sent to devices associated with the Z-Wave. See all settings here.
- Added parameter 18 to enable scene control from the momentary switch in a 3-way. See all settings here.
- Added parameter 19 to disable LED blinking when a setting is changed. See all settings here.
- Changed the manual operation for disabling the relay (smart bulb mode): Hold the UPPER paddle for 10 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking, then within 2 seconds, tap the upper paddle 5 times quickly to change this mode. The LED indicator will stay solid green for 3 seconds to confirm the change.
- Improved the factory reset procedure: The switch will not lock up if the factory reset is not successful in certain scenarios.

- Optimized Z-Wave reporting behavior: when Basic Set and Binary Set commands are sent from the Z-Wave controller (Lifeline), the device will no longer send redundant report or notification commands back to the controller.
VER. 4.xx 800LR (released 12/2025)

- Redesigned the decora paddle. Please note that VER 4.0 (hardware 4) decora paddles cannot be installed on ZEN71 with firmware 3.xx and lower, and older decora paddles cannot be installed on ZEN71 with firmware 4.xx. For more information on identifying your version, please see the ZEN71 FAQ's.
