How to Add Your ZEN15 Power Switch to Your Z-Wave System

You can pair your ZEN15Power Switch with your Z-Wave hub via Auto Inclusion, Manual Inclusion, or Secure Inclusion.

Your hub's manual may use a different term for it, but inclusion is just another word for pairing or adding a device to your Z-Wave system. Auto and Manual Inclusions apply for all Z-Wave hubs, but Secure Inclusion is only available for hubs that are security-enabled with AES encryption (if you're unsure if your hub supports AES, feel free to ask). Here are the three inclusion methods for the ZEN15 Power Switch:

Auto Z-Wave Inclusion

1. Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode (see your hub's device manual, as each brand is different)
2. Plug the ZEN15 Power Switch into a grounded receptacle located within direct range of your Z-Wave hub
3. The LED indicator will start flashing blue, then turn blue (on) or pink (off) once included
4. A new on / off device should be recognized by your Z-Wave hub

Manual Z-Wave Inclusion

1. Plug the ZEN15 Power Switch into a grounded receptacle located within 3 feet from your Z-Wave gateway controller
2. Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode (see your controller's device manual, as each brand is different)
3. Press and release the Z-Wave button 3 TIMES QUICKLY
4. The LED indicator will start flashing blue, then turn blue (on) or pink (off) once included
5. A new on / off device should be recognized by your Z-Wave hub

Secure Z-Wave Inclusion

1. Plug the ZEN15 Power Switch into a grounded receptacle located within direct range your Z-Wave hub
2. Put your Z-Wave hub into secure inclusion mode (see your hub's device manual, as each brand is different)
3. Press and HOLD the Z-Wave button for at least 3 seconds
4. The LED indicator will start flashing green, then turn blue (on) or pink (off) once included
5. A new secure on / off device will be recognized by your Z-Wave hub

If you've tried the steps above and find that inclusion isn't working for you, here's what to try.
