There is No LED Activity and My ZEN04 Smart Plug is Unresponsive

So your ZEN04 Smart Plug is powered in a grounded 110VAC receptacle, and there is no LED response from the device? Check out the tips below:

The best place to start is by ruling out any power or grounding issues. Try moving the ZEN04 to a different receptacle on a different circuit.

 

The ZEN04 is equipped with a feature that allows you to switch between LED indicator modes by clicking the Z-Wave button 5 times quickly. Verify that the LED indicator wasn't disabled accidentally by pressing the Z-Wave button 5 more times; this may activate the LEDs.

 

If the receptacle is powered and the LEDs are working fine but the device is unresponsive to manual and remote commands, try performing a hard reset on the Smart Plug. Just remember that this type of reset will erase all previously recorded activity along with any custom changes you had in place. 

 

If you notice that the ZEN04 became unresponsive after you connected a device or appliance, we also recommend verifying that the connected device is compatible with the plug. Certain devices, like heavy duty equipment, motors over 1/3 HP, or devices over 15A resistive load will damage the ZEN04 Smart Plug.
