ZEN04 Smart Plug Change Log
Here is a list of updates we made to the ZEN04 Smart Plug model so far:
VER. 1.0 (released 5/2022)
Original release.
Hardware:
- LED indicator for more efficient troubleshooting
- Small form factor, does not block the second outlet in a standard receptacle
- 700 Series Z-Wave chip for extra range and reliable communication
Firmware: 1.10
- Quick on/off wireless control with instant status reports
- Remembers and restores status after power failure
- SmartStart and S2 authenticated security
Firmware: 1.20 (released 9/2022 as OTA)
- Improved energy reporting: the plug no longer sends excess reports for connected electronics in standby mode
Firmware: 1.30 (released 4/2023 as OTA)
- Fixed bug: reduced the delay after the plug reports a Wattage change when on and the device connected to the smart plug is suddenly unplugged.
- Added new parameters to disable energy reporting values (parameters 10 and 11, see all settings here)
- Added new parameters to set energy reporting frequency (parameters 12 and 13, see all settings here)
VER. 800LR (released 07/2023)
Hardware: 2.0
- 800 Series Z-Wave chip
Firmware: 2.10
- Based on 1.30 firmware (see above)
- Long Range ready
Firmware: 2.20 (released 9/2023 as OTA)
- Improved Direct Association for the basic set on/off functionality
