ZEN14 Outdoor Double Plug Change Log
Here is a list of updates we made to the ZEN14 model so far:
VER. 1.0 (released 7/2022)
Original release.
Hardware: 1.0
- Weather-resistant housing (IP65)
- Angled plug to free up the second outlet
- 700 Series Z-Wave chip for extra range and reliable communication
Firmware: 1.10
- Quick on/off wireless control with instant status reports
- Remembers and restores status after power failure
- SmartStart and S2 authenticated security
Firmware: 1.20 (released 9/2022 as OTA)

Data packets changed to 5-byte to help address inclusion, range, or security inclusion issues.
VER. 800LR (released 02/2024)
Hardware: 2.0
- 800 Series Z-Wave chip
- New smaller dimensions (ZEN14 800LR: 3.75" x 2.75" x 1.75" vs ZEN14 700: 3.5" x 5" x 1.75")
- Outlet covers removed
Firmware: 2.0
- Based on the 1.20 firmware
- Long Range Ready
Firmware: 2.10 (released 12/2024 as OTA)
- Updated parameter names and short descriptions in the Configuration Command Class to match the Advanced Setting Article
Firmware: 2.20 (released 08/2025 as OTA)
- Updated parameter 6 (On/Off Status After Power Failure) with two new values: 3 - Outlet 1 always on, Outlet 2 always off once restored, and 4 - Outlet 1 always off, Outlet 2 always on once restored. See all settings here.
