Here is a full list of advanced settings (parameters) for the ZSE11 Q Sensor:

The following parameters are applicable to the ZSE11 700 on FW 1.30, as well as the ZSE11 800

Parameter 12: Set motion sensitivity for the motion detector to minimize false alerts.

Values: 0 – disable motion reports; 1 – 8 where 8 is the most sensitive and 1 is the least sensitive. Default: 6.

Size: 1 byte dec

Parameter 13: Set motion clear time for the delay before the sensor reports no motion to the hub and associated devices after detecting the last motion activity.

Values: 10 - 3600 (seconds). Default: 30.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 14: Enable or disable basic set reporting when motion is detected.

Values: 0 – don’t send basic set reports when motion is detected; 1 – send basic set reports when motion is detected (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

Parameter 15: Select the basic set value to be sent when motion is detected.

Values: 0 – send 0xFF basic set report (ON) when motion is detected (default); 1 – send 0x00 basic set report (OFF) when motion is detected.

Size: 1 byte dec

Parameter 16: Enable or disable binary sensor reports when motion is detected. (Note: this parameter is not applicable to the 800 series version of the ZSE11)

Values: 0 – don’t send binary sensor reports when motion is detected; 1 – send binary sensor reports when motion is detected (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

Parameter 19: Enable or disable LED indicator for motion alerts.

Values: 0 – don’t flash LED when motion is detected; 1 – flash LED indicator when motion is detected (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

Temperature Sensor

Parameter 18: Set the temperature unit for your sensor. NOTE: many home automation platforms will automatically adjust the reporting unit for you based on your general platform or device settings which will override this parameter so please make sure you check these settings as well.

Values: 1 – Celsius; 2 – Fahrenheit (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

Low Battery Alert

Parameter 32: Set the % level for the sensor to report low battery to your hub.

Values: 10 - 50 (%). Default: 10.

Size: 1 byte dec

Reporting Frequency

Parameter 172 (for 500 and 700 series units only, values differ for the 800 series. See section below for 800 series): Set the reporting frequency for battery, temperature, humidity, and light level. This setting is ignored unless the reporting threshold parameters are set to 0. The sensor only reports new readings based on threshold OR frequency, prioritizing the threshold setting. The values entered correspond to the number of hours. Note: Frequent reports will affect battery life.

Values: 1 - 744 (hours). Default: 4 (hours).

Size: 2 byte dec

Reporting Threshold

Parameter 183: Set the reporting threshold for temperature. The sensor will report new temperature value to the hub whenever temperature changes by the number of degrees entered as value. Enter 0 (disabled reporting based on the threshold) if you'd like the sensor to report based on frequency instead. For the setting below, value 1 is equal to .1 degree, value 10 = 1 degree, and so on.

Values: 0 – disable temperature reporting based on environmental changes; 1 - 144 (degrees Fahrenheit). Default: 1.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 184: Set the reporting threshold for humidity. The sensor will report new humidity value to the hub whenever humidity changes by the percentage number entered as value. Enter 0 (disabled reporting based on the threshold) if you'd like the sensor to report based on frequency instead.

Values: 0 – disable humidity reporting based on environmental changes; 1 - 80 (%). Default: 5.

Size: 1 byte dec

Parameter 185: Set the reporting threshold for lux. The sensor will report new lux value to the hub whenever the brightness level changes by the number of lux entered as value. Enter 0 (disabled reporting based on the threshold) if you'd like the sensor to report based on frequency instead.

Values: 0 – disable lux reporting based on environmental changes; 2 - 300000 (lux). Default: 50.

Size: 2 byte dec

The following parameters are applicable ONLY to the ZSE11 800

There were hardware changes made between the versions and these parameters do not apply to any 500 or 700 series ZSE11 sensors.

Vibration Sensor

Parameter 20: Set Enable / disable the vibration sensor.

Values: 0 – disable vibration sensor; 1 - enable vibration sensor (when vibration has ceased for 5 seconds, the sensor will send a vibration clear report). Default: 2.

Size: 1 byte dec

Lux Sensor

Parameter 21: Set the frequency interval for lux value verification. This is how often the sensor will probe the environment for lux value changes. NOTE: a report will be sent ONLY if the value has changed by the threshold value set in Parameter 185 as compared to the most recent report.

Values: 0 – 43200 seconds. Default: 10.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 175: Set the reporting interval for lux. Values 1-43200 will send a report regardless of the threshold value selected in parameter 183.

Values: 0 – Reports based on threshold only (value set in parameter 183. 1 - 43200 seconds. Default: 0.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 203: Set the lux reporting offset. Value 100 is zero offset; values 0-99 decrease the value by 1 (ex: 75 means deduct 25 lux from the measured value); values 101-200 increase the value by 1 (ex: value 147 means add 47 lux to the reported value). NOTE: Device must be factory reset to restore this value to default.

Values: 0 – 200. Default: 100 (no offset).

Size: 1 byte dec

Temperature Sensor

Parameter 22: Set the frequency interval for temperature value verification. This is how often the sensor will probe the environment for temperature value changes. NOTE: a report will be sent ONLY if the value has changed by the threshold value set in Parameter 183 as compared to the most recent report.

Values: 0 – 43200 seconds. Default: 60.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 173: Set the reporting interval for temperature. Values 1-43200 will send a report regardless of the threshold value selected in parameter 183.

Values: 0 – Reports based on threshold only (value set in parameter 183. 1 - 43200 seconds. Default: 0.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 201: Set the temperature reporting offset. Value 100 is zero offset; values 0-99 decrease the value (ex: 56 means deduct 4.4 degrees from the measured value); values 101-200 increase the value (ex: value 121 means add 2.1 degree to the reported value). NOTE: Device must be factory reset to restore this value to default.

Values: 0 – 200. Default: 100 (no offset).

Size: 1 byte dec

Humidity Sensor

Parameter 23: Set the frequency interval for humidity value verification. This is how often the sensor will probe the environment for humidity value changes. NOTE: a report will be sent ONLY if the value has changed by the threshold value set in Parameter 184 as compared to the most recent report.

Values: 0 – 43200 seconds. Default: 60.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 174: Set the reporting interval for humidity. Values 1-43200 will send a report regardless of the threshold value selected in parameter 183.

Values: 0 – Reports based on threshold only (value set in parameter 183. 1 - 43200 seconds. Default: 0.

Size: 2 byte dec

Parameter 202: Set the humidity reporting offset. Value 100 is zero offset; values 0-99 decrease the value (ex: 95 means deduct 5% from the measured value); values 101-200 increase the value (ex: value 112 means add 12% to the reported value). NOTE: Device must be factory reset to restore this value to default.

Values: 0 – 200. Default: 100 (no offset).

Size: 1 byte dec
