The ZEN32 Scene Controller is a unique device so it currently needs 2 custom device handlers to work as expected on SmartThings.

Just follow these easy steps to install the handlers and have the Scene Controller running in no time!

The process is pretty quick so if you haven't added a handler before, just follow the steps below:

  1. Exclude the switch (if it's already been included) and log in here with the same login and password you use for your SmartThings app.

  2. Click on My Device Handlers in the top menu.

  3. In the top right corner, click on "Create new device handler" and choose "from code" from the top tab menu. You'll be presented with a blank area where you can paste the code from the following link. Please click on this link to access the code for the handler, then copy ALL of the code from the page.

  4. Next, scroll to the bottom and click Create.

  5. Now click Save, then click Publish > For Me.

Now repeat these steps for the second handler, only use the code from this link for step 3 to finish the installation.

Use the steps below to have your Scene Controller paired in a flash:

  1. Click on the "+" icon in the top right corner of the home screen
  2. Click on Device
  3. Click on Scan nearby in the top right corner
  4. Click the main switch button on the device 3 times very quickly
  5. SmartThings will confirm that a new device has been added. Rename it and start automating!

If you'd like to use the SmartStart method, just click on the QR code scanner icon in the Add Device screen in your SmartThings app and scan the unique QR code in the lower left corner of the switch, then enter the 5-digit SDK code (located right under the QR code) when prompted by the app. All you need to do now is power the ZEN32 Scene Controller for it to be discovered by SmartThings automatically.
