Will the ZEN78 High Power Relay not include to your hub? Let's begin by excluding the unit.
Exclusion is known by many names: unpairing, disconnecting, or removing are all ways to refer to exclusion. This acts as a soft reset that can assist with a variety of configuration or connectivity issues. The ZEN78 doesn't need to be included in your system for it to be excluded successfully.
Important Note: The device has an internal relay, which can turn on and off with a click of the Z-Wave button. This means that when you are attempting to include or exclude the device, the clicks need to happen as fast as possible; if the clicks are not completed fast enough, the relay will engage instead and the device will not enter inclusion or exclusion mode. You will know you have clicked fast enough when the LED indicator begins flashing red rapidly.
-
Put your Z-Wave hub into exclusion mode (see your controller's manual for details, as each brand is different).
-
Click the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly. The LED indicator will begin flashing red rapidly.
-
Your hub should confirm exclusion and the relay will disappear from the interface.
Once you receive confirmation of exclusion, try adding the device to the system to see if that solves the issue.
And if that still doesn't help, try these steps next:
-
Try the exclusion process one more time
-
Run a factory reset on the unit before trying inclusion again.
-
If you tried excluding/including from the installation location, try it again closer to the hub. If the second try is successful, the original spot may be out of range of the Z-Wave hub.
