For Z-Wave control of the ZSE50 Siren & Chime you will need to include it to your network; a process also known as adding or pairing.

We've included two methods of including the device below: auto-inclusion and manual inclusion.

To auto-include your ZSE50 Siren:

  1. Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion/pairing mode (see your hub's manual for instructions since each brand is different). If you’re using an S2 hub, it may ask you to enter the DSK key printed on the back cover sticker to complete secure inclusion
  2. Plug in the ZSE50. The LED Indicator will flash yellow once to confirm the device is powered and ready to be included.
  3. The LED indicator will then turn green for 2 seconds announcing audibly “Device added” if the inclusion is successful or turn red for 2 seconds if the pairing attempt fails.

To manually include your ZSE50 Siren:

  1. Put the Z-Wave hub into inclusion/pairing mode (see your hub's manual for instructions since each brand is different)
  2. Tap the + button on the device 3 times quickly. The LED indicator will blink green to signal communication and you’ll also hear the message “Device in inclusion mode” to confirm the state.
  3. The LED indicator will then turn green for 2 seconds announcing audibly “Device added” if the inclusion is successful or turn red for 2 seconds if the pairing attempt fails
  4. The new device should appear on your hub's device list

If you've tried auto and manual inclusion but find the ZSE50 is not including, please try to exclude the devicefactory reset the unit, then try including again.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the process.
