ZEN53 DC Motor Controller Advanced Settings

Here is a full list of advanced settings (parameters) for the ZEN53 DC Motor Controller VER. 1.10 firmware:

On / Off Status After Power Failure

Parameter 1: Set the status for the controller after power failure.

Values: 

0 – forced to closed (regardless of state prior to power outage);

1-99 – forced to open in the selected position (regardless of state prior to power outage);

100 – remembers and restores open/closed status after power failure (default);

Size: 1 byte dec

LED Indicator

Parameter 2: Enable or disable the LED indicator to reflect the current open/closed status of the connected motor (LED on when the shades are open, LED off when the shades are closed).

Values: 

0 – LED Indicator disabled;

1 – LED Indicator enabled (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

Motor Cycle Duration

Parameter 3: Set the duration of the motor's open/closed cycle for shutter mode.

Values: 

0 – Use limit switches;

1-65535 (milliseconds). Default: 6000.

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 4: Set the duration of the motor's open/closed cycle for Venetian mode.

Values: 

0 – Use limit switches;

1-65535 (milliseconds). Default: 1000.

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 19: Set the duration of the motor's open/up cycle, independent of shutter or Venetian mode. Please note, when parameters 19 and 20 are enabled, Parameter 3 or 4 will be disabled.

Values: 

0 – follow the value set in Parameter 3 or Parameter 4 (Default);

1-65535 (milliseconds) - 10ms - 655350ms; if the value is set to 100, the motor up moving time will be 100*10ms = 1000ms.

Parameter 20: Set the duration of the motor's closed/down cycle, independent of shutter or Venetian mode. Please note, when parameters 19 and 20 are enabled, Parameter 3 or 4 will be disabled.

Values: 

0 – follow the value set in Parameter 3 or Parameter 4 (Default);

1-65535 (milliseconds) - 10ms - 655350ms; if the value is set to 100, the motor down moving time will be 100*10ms = 1000ms.

Enable Stop Signal for Limit Switches

Parameter 18: Stop the motor when limit switches are detected.

Values: 

0 – Disable (Default);

1-Enable.

Size: 1 byte dec

Calibration

Parameter 5: Enter and exit calibration mode for a selected mode.

Values: 

0 – Exit calibration mode (default);

1 – Shutter mode calibration;

2 – Venetian mode calibration.

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 17: Enter and exit calibration correction.

Values: 

0 – Exit repositioning (default);

1 – Start repositioning.

Size: 1 byte dec

Motor Mode

Parameter 6: Choose your type of motorized window treatments to calibrate the motor.

Values: 

0 – Shutter without positioning;

1 – Shutter with positioning (default);

2 – Venetian.

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 9: Reverse motor operation (to change direction on inputs).

Values: 

0 – Not reversed (default);

1 – Reversed;

2 – Venetian.

Size: 1 byte dec

Wall Switch Control

Parameter 7: Choose your type of the connected momentary switch or switches.

Values: 

0 – Single 2-button switch;

1 – Two 1-button switches.

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 8: Enable or disabled Z-Wave inclusion activation from the wall switch.

Values: 

0 – Inclusion mode from switch disabled;

1 – Inclusion mode from switch enabled (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 14: Choose the type of wall switch connected to the S1 input on the controller.

Values: 

0 – toggle switch (default); 

1 – momentary push-button switch.

Size: 1 byte dec

 

Parameter 15: Choose the type of wall switch connected to the S2 input on the controller.

Values: 

0 – toggle switch (default); 

1 – momentary push-button switch.

Size: 1 byte dec

Auto Open Timer

Parameter 10: Use this parameter to set the time after which you want the motor to automatically open the shades or blinds. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of minutes or seconds (set the unit in Par. 12).

Values: 

0 – timer disabled (default);

1 – 4294967295.
Size: 4 byte dec.

Auto Close Timer

Parameter 11: Use this parameter to set the time after which you want the motor to automatically close the shades or blinds. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of minutes or seconds (set the unit in Par. 12).

Values: 

0 – timer disabled (default);

1 – 4294967295.
Size: 4 byte dec.

Timer Unit

Parameter 12: Choose between seconds and minutes as the unit for the timers in parameters 10 and 11.

Values: 

1 – seconds (default); 

2 – minutes.

Size: 1 byte dec

Enable/Disable Control From the Switch Or With Z-Wave

Parameter 13: Enable or disable physical and/or Z-Wave on/off control. If disabled, you’ll only be able to control the connected shades via Z-Wave. 

Values: 

0 – button and wall switch control disabled, Z-Wave control enabled (the device will still report its open/close status to the hub whenever the button or switch are toggled).

1 – button, wall switch, and Z-Wave control enabled (default).

2 – button, wall switch, and Z-Wave control control disabled ((the device will still report its open/close status to the hub whenever the button or switch are toggled physically or via Z-Wave).

Association Reports

Parameter 16: Choose the type of reports the device will send to the hub for Z-Wave and external switch control.

Values: 

0 – switch multilevel reports for Z-Wave control and basic reports for switch control; 

1 – switch multilevel reports for both Z-Wave and switch control (default).

Size: 1 byte dec

MANUAL CONTROL FROM THE Z-WAVE BUTTON

3 x tap: enter inclusion (pairing) or exclusion mode

2 x tap and hold (the third time) for 15 seconds: factory reset
