Able to pair your ZEN77 to Home Assistant, but it's otherwise unresponsive? It could be a connectivity or range issue.

The range of your ZEN77 Dimmer is up to 500 feet line of sight, but it can still experience connectivity issues with interferences like large furniture, thick walls, and metal elements shortening its range. Ultimately range is determined by the specific structure of your home and the strength of your mesh network. If you're seeing connectivity issues, we first recommend healing your Home Assistant network. This function refreshes the connections between your hub and devices so that the hub can find the most efficient route to each device.

  1. Click on the Z-Wave Control Panel in Home Assistant

  2. Under Z-Wave Network Management, click Heal Network

If that didn't help and your dimmer is still not responding to Z-Wave commands, give these a try:

  1. Exclude and re-include the dimmer to help the hub form a more efficient communication route to the dimmer.

  2. Add a constantly powered Z-Wave device between the dimmer and hub. Run another Heal Network so that the network learns about the new device and hub uses it to reach the ZEN77.

  3. Try pairing or excluding your dimmer with the hub brought closer. If it can pair and stay connected without any issues, the dimmer may be out of range from where the hub is usually located.

  4. Double check the material of your switch box. If it's metal, this may be the source of the issue. Metal is really effective at disrupting Z-Wave signals and it can prevent signals from being sent or received. If possible, try moving the hub closer or adding a Z-Wave signal repeater between the dimmer and the hub.

If none of the above solves the problem, please let us know! We're always here to help.
