The ZSE40 4-in-1 Sensor will pair with your hub quickly and without additional setup thanks to being officially integrated with Hubitat.
You should have automatic full access to the sensor's advanced settings in the device view on Hubitat. If you don't, you should check that your hub is running on the most up-to-date platform version and then use these instructions to add a custom device driver for your ZSE40 4-in-1 sensor.
To add the ZSE40 sensor to Hubitat, you can use these easy steps:
- Insert the sensor's battery and bring it within direct range of Hubitat
- Make sure the battery cover is firmly CLOSED

Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

Go to Devices

Click on Discover Devices in the top right corner

Click on Z-Wave

Click on Start Z-Wave Inclusion

While the app says is in inclusion mode, press and release the Z-Wave button TWICE quickly with a paperclip

Rename and confirm the found device
If the sensor is having difficulties connecting to Hubitat, try excluding it with the steps shown here first. The process will act as a soft reset to help your sensor better configure and pair with the hub.
