If your ZEN57 240V XS Relay is successfully included to your HomeSeer network, but is unresponsive to commands or shows as offline, you may need to try healing the network.
Interferences like large furniture, thick walls, or metal elements can shorten Z-Wave range. The given range for your network is determined by the specific structure of your home and the strength of your mesh network. If you're seeing connectivity issues, we first recommend healing your HomeSeer network, also known as rebuilding routes.. This function refreshes the connections between your hub and devices so that the hub can find the most efficient route to each device.
Rebuilding Routes
- Click on the Plugins drop-down menu on the upper left hand side of the interface.
- Click on Z-Wave Plus.
- Select Advanced Functions.
- From the first drop down menu, select the name of the Z-Wave network you are repairing/rebuilding routes.
- From the second drop down menu, select Rebuild All Routes.
- Click Continue. The network repair will occur; remember to manually wake any battery powered devices to complete the rebuild.
More Troubleshooting Steps
If your relay is still not connecting after healing the network, give the following tips a try.
- Exclude and re-include the relay directly from the target installation location. It's possible the hub hasn't found the most efficient communication route to the devices. Exclusion can help the hub form a better route of communication. It's possible the hub hasn't found the most efficient communication route to the devices. - If it's still not connecting, try bringing the relay and the hub closer together to rule out any range issues.
- If you had the device connected via the mesh and you have offline issues, try including the device via Z-Wave Long Range if you have a ZWLR supporting hub. Additionally, if you had the device connected via ZWLR and encounter offline issues, we recommend trying out the mesh instead. The beauty of the advent of ZWLR is the option to include each device using the method that works the best.
Factory Reset
If none of the steps above resolve the issue, try a factory reset on the device:
- Click the Z-Wave button once and immediately after, press and hold the button for 15 seconds.
- The LED indicator will flash during the process and turn red for 3 seconds to confirm a successful reset.
