Can't Add My ZSE11 Q Sensor to HomeSeer

It might not sound logical, but if you're having trouble adding your ZSE11 Q Sensor to HomeSeer, you may need to try exclusion first.

The exclusion process acts as a soft reset and can be done even if you haven't paired the ZSE11 to HomeSeer or another Z-Wave network before.

 

Zooz products are officially integrated with the Z-Wave Plus and the Z-Wave JS Front-End of HomeSeer. If you're experiencing issues with accessing the advanced settings of your device or the unit not properly displaying, we would recommend first updating to the Z-Wave Plus or the Z-Wave JS Front-End, then excluding and re-including your device to your network in order for it to be recognized correctly. 

Exclusion Steps

1. In the HomeSeer UI, click the Plugins.

2. From the drop-down menu, select Z-Wave.

3. You will be taken to a new page; click Continue to start the exclusion process on the hub.

4. Click the Z-Wave button on the ZSE11 3 times very quickly. The LED indicator will start flashing to indicate the device is in exclusion mode.

5. HomeSeer should confirm the device was removed. Finalize by clicking Finish

Once the exclusion process is successfully finalized, try including the device to HomeSeer. 

Additional Troubleshooting Steps 

Give the exclusion process another try. It's possible the command from the first run wasn't registered correctly.

Try bringing the device within direct range of the hub and excluding and including it from that location. If the sensor excludes and includes with ease, the target installation location may be out of range.

If you have a ZWLR supporting version of the device, try adding it via ZWLR.
