Set your adjustable timer to schedule your holiday lights to turn on and off. The ZEN14 Outdoor Double Smart Plug offers a variety of customization options to perfectly adjust it to your smart home preferences.
Zooz products work best with the Z-Wave Plus and the Z-Wave JS Front-End of HomeSeer. If you're experiencing issues with accessing the advanced settings of your ZEN14 Outdoor Smart Plug or don't see the parent device plus two child devices after inclusion, we would recommend first updating to the Z-Wave Plus or the Z-Wave JS Front-End, then excluding and re-including your device to your network in order for it to be recognized correctly.
If you're not using the above integrations, the settings are accessible via a direct input command, by inputting the parameter number, size, and the desired value, all of which can be found in the Advanced Settings article for each device. Once entered, you'll need to send the send change command. See HomeSeer documentation for specific instructions on how to change parameters if you are not running Z-Wave Plus or Z-Wave JS Front-End.
All About Advanced Settings
The terminology for advanced settings varies depending on your Z-Wave hub. HomeSeer use the official term “Parameters,” located under the configuration tab. Despite these differences in naming, the purpose remains the same: configuring consistent behavior for your device. We provide the full list of settings available for each device in our Knowledge Base.
Each advanced setting consists of four key parts:
-
Label: If your device is properly integrated with your hub, this will display as the setting's name. Hubs like SmartThings show only the label and description.
-
Parameter Number & Description: Most hubs, such as Hubitat and Home Assistant, list the parameter number along with the label and description.
-
Values: These are the selectable options for each setting. Some are simple (e.g., Enable/Disable), while others use numerical values.
-
Size: This is required in some systems when manually changing advanced settings (e.g., Home Assistant) or in hubs that do not provide direct access to settings.
To change a parameter via the Z-Wave JS UI in HomeSeer, first go to the device column and click on it to open the device page.
1. Scroll to see "configuration" and click the drop-down arrow on the left to open the settings menu/drop-down:
2. Find the setting you want to change. You can either click on the drop-down arrow if the setting has specific options, or enter a valid number value based on the available settings:
3. Click on the sideways arrow next to the setting to send the command for the updated parameter value to change:
4. If successfully changed, a small green message will appear in the top right saying Value Updated:
