Once the Double Plug is powered and working well manually, it's time to add it to Hubitat!
After pairing your ZEN14 Double Plug with Hubitat, you'll have remote control of your connected devices, the ability to create automations, and access the advanced features.
You'll want to install the community driver to have control of the individual plugs.
You can add it to Hubitat following the step-by-step instructions here:
Smart Start Inclusion
On the Hubitat app:
- Open the Tools tab (wrench icon on the bottom)
- Scroll to the bottom, select Z-Wave
- This will take you to a screen where you can select either Smart Start or regular inclusion
- Select Smart Start
- This will take you to the smart start inclusion list. Devices will be displayed there that are in the process of inclusion through Smart Start.
- Select the QR symbol in the top right to open the camera for the DSK scan
- Power the device (important to do this AFTER QR scan)
- The device integration will begin. The window will appear asking you to name the device; click Save after naming
- Finishing inclusion may take a few minutes
If you have any issues with Smart Start Inclusion on Hubitat, please review this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf-Fldjb0to. The steps should be the same whether you have a C-7 or C-8.

We recommend pairing the Outdoor Plug from the desired installation location to allow the hub to form the most efficient communication route to the device. If you prefer to add it to the network near the hub and then move it to its desired spot, please make sure to perform a Network Repair to ensure the optimum route of communication is created.
If your Outdoor Plug is having trouble including to your Hubitat hub, you can try to exclude it first. The process can be done even if it hasn't been paired before and will help the ZEN14 configure properly so that it can connect to the network.
