The ZEN25 Double Plug can handle up to 10A total.
You can use the ZEN25 Double Plug with a single 10A device plugged into one of the outlets, as long as the other outlet isn't occupied. However, the total amperage on load for the ENTIRE unit shouldn't exceed 10A. So it doesn’t matter if this is just one device connected to one of the outlets or 2 small appliances plugged into both outlets. If the total amperage exceeds 10A or if you connect heavy duty equipment to this Double Plug, it will damage the device and may cause the connected appliance to malfunction.
DON'T use the ZEN25 Double Plug with any of these devices:
- Washers
- Dryers
- Refrigerators
- Electric heaters
- Fans
- Pumps
- Chargers
- Routers
The devices above are simply too much for the Double Plug to handle, or they're an incompatible load. Motor loads like fans and impulse loads like chargers will damage the unit over time due to the power spikes at start up and uneven power draw (frequent power drops). So even if the fan is technically within the device's specs, we don't recommend using it with the Double Plug to ensure the unit works in the long-run.
