First, check that your dimmer is working well manually, that you have full dimming and on/off control directly from the device.

Once that's settled, we can include the unit to your Z-Wave system. There are many words for it depending on the system you're using, but our standard term for it is "inclusion." Inclusion is just the process of adding or pairing a device to your Z-Wave system. Here's how to include your ZEN27 Dimmer to your Z-Wave system:

1. Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode (see your hub's manual for specific inclusion steps)
2. Tap the UPPER paddle 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
3. A new dimmer device will appear on your controller's device list
