Here is a list of the changes and updates we made to the ZEN37 Wall Remote so far.

VER. 1.0 (released 12/2023)

Original release.
Hardware V1

  • Standard paddle switch size & magnetic base
  • Powered by 1 x LIR2032 rechargeable battery
  • Adjustable LED indicator (4 colors and 3 brightness levels)
  • The latest 800 chip with S2 and SmartStart support
  • Rechargeable battery & USB charging port

Firmware: 1.0

  • Central scene command class or direct association (Group 1 with 1 Controller node for Lifeline communication, Group 2 and 3 with up to 10 devices for on/off control through basic set commands (single click for each button), Group 4 and 5 for dimming control through switch multilevel commands (press-and-hold buttons), and Group 6, 7, 8, and 9 for toggle control of associated devices.

  • SmartStart and S2 Authenticated Security

  • OTA firmware updates

VER. 2.0 (released 10/2024)

Hardware V2

  • Updated the re-chargeable coin battery LIR2023 (40mAh) to the re-chargeable Lithium battery pack (200mAh)
  • The rechargeable Lithium battery pack is soldered to the PCB, so there is no need to open the case and remove the pull-out tab like in ZEN37 hardware version 1.0
  • Added the black version of the ZEN37 for the US and EU frequencies

Firmware 2.0

  • Based on firmware 1.0

Firmware 2.10 (released 04/2025 as OTA)

  • Updated parameter names and short descriptions in the Configuration Command Class to match the Advanced Setting Article.
  • Updated the SmartStart inclusion via QR code: The ZEN37 arrives in deep sleep mode out of the box. Open your Z-Wave hub's mobile app and scan the ZEN37's QR code. Once the QR code is scanned, press any of the 4 buttons on the ZEN37 once. The ZEN37 will begin broadcasting its signal and should automatically be added to your Z-Wave network.
