You'll need to add an Edge driver prior to including the ZEN31 to SmartThings to ensure it is recognized correctly and to ensure you have full control of all the device's channels. 

Once the Edge driver is installed, please follow the steps below to include the ZEN31 to SmartThings:

• Click on the "+" icon in the top right corner of the home screen
• Click on Device
• Click on Scan nearby in the top right corner
• Click the Z-Wave button on the device 3 times very quickly
• SmartThings will confirm that a new device has been added. Rename it and start automating!

If you're having issues with adding the switch correctly to your hub, try excluding the device using the steps shown here before trying to add the dimmer again. Exclusion acts as a reset and it can help with a variety of configuration issues.
