Does your ZAC36 show up as "offline" in Hubitat? This could be due to a range or configuration issue. Try a Z-Wave Network Repair!

Ensure your Hubitat hub is up to date on its platform version. Please follow the steps below to run the Z-Wave Repair to refresh your Z-Wave mesh network connections:

  1. Open Hubitat in your Internet browser

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Click on Z-Wave Details

  4. Click on Repair Z-Wave

If it is successfully repaired, you will see a "Z-Wave Network Repair finished" confirmation.  Next, include the ZAC36 to join your Z-Wave network.

You can also try these other troubleshooting tips with your ZAC36 device:

  • You can exclude the sensor and reinclude it. This acts as a soft reset to help your sensor configure correctly or find a better route to communicate with Hubitat.
  • You can also add a non-battery powered Z-Wave device, or a Z-Wave signal repeater, between the hub and sensor. This will help improve communication between the two devices. A secondary Z-Wave Repair will need to be run in order for the additional device to be recognized and used in the communication path with the ZAC36.
  • Try moving the ZAC36 closer to the hub. If the device is too far away, or in an area surrounded by a lot of metal or glass elements, it could be having communication issues. Once moved to a new location, exclude and re-include the device for the change to be recognized.
