This ZEN20 Power Strip can handle up to 15A total.
You can use the ZEN20 Power Strip with a 15A device plugged into a single outlet as long as there aren't any other outlets occupied (each outlet can handle 15A). HOWEVER, the total amperage on load for the ENTIRE strip shouldn't be more than 15A. It doesn’t matter if this is just one device connected to one of the outlets or 5 small appliances plugged into all of the Strip’s outlets. If the total amperage exceeds 15A or if you connect heavy duty equipment to this ZEN20 Power Strip, it will damage the device and may cause the connected appliance to malfunction.
DON'T use the ZEN20 Power Strip with any of these devices:
- Washers
- Dryers
- Refrigerators
- Electric heaters
- Fans
- Pumps
- Chargers
- Routers
These devices can either be too much for the Power Strip to handle, or they're an incompatible load. Motor loads (like fans) and impulse loads (like chargers) will damage the unit over time because of power spikes at start up and uneven power draw (frequent power drops). While they may technically be within the device's specs, we don't recommend using it with the Power Strip to ensure the unit works in the long-run.
